About the Role

We are looking to welcome an experienced Electrical Engineer to our team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to design electrical systems, conduct site investigations and audits, troubleshoot challenges, and evaluate systems for commercial and high-rise residential buildings. Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical resource within the company
Evaluate and apply engineering judgment and techniques for electrical system design
Provide expertise in electrical distribution (600V and below), campus primary distribution (up to 15 kV), emergency power, telecom, low voltage systems, PV/solar, and Microgrids
Develop basis of design documents
Design electrical systems, including equipment selection, system coordination, calculations, electrical service sizing, layout and circuiting and ensure code compliance with industry standards for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings
Perform distribution load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis using EasyPower
Design lighting and lighting control systems
Lead decarbonization projects with electrical infrastructure evaluation and upgrades
Conduct peer reviews of third-party designs and client facility design guidelines
Oversee commissioning of electrical equipment, including meters, generators, and lighting systems
Conduct site visits and provide issues report
Support SMART building design initiatives
Analyze building systems to optimize operation and efficiency
Identify and recommend energy conservation measures and opportunities
Manage projects, including writing bid scope documents, reviewing bids, tracking progress, and managing resources
Travel as needed to client sites across the country

Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering
5-10 years’ experience in commercial & industrial buildings’ design - electrical systems
Washington and/or California Professional Engineers License preferred
Excellent understanding of Electrical Engineering Fundamentals
Ability to interact effectively with others in a team environment
Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and meet scheduled deadlines
Professional attitude and commitment to high quality work
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Driven self-starter and strong design to succeed
Skilled in electrical analysis software (SKM, EasyPower, ETAP, etc.)
Proficient in Excel (pivot charts, data normalization, basic calculations, charts/graphs)
Familiar and/or a proficiency in: PowerBI, SQL, DBA; preferred
Experience with data analytics related to the built environment; preferred

Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 DOE
